Great video !
I thought that, near the end of the shot, that you weren't gonna pull it out off the wave and that you'd end up having to "Paint your Hobie"

Super cool Matt, and that broach must have been "interesting" !!

Tell me more about your masthead camera mount. It certainly produces new angles.

Mesmerizing. A calm, birds-eye view of near total destruction with a great non-sequitur sound track.

Is that your gramps singing, Matt? 8)

The audio track i had here was a bit wasted on the vid b/c of interfering wave noise. It did interfer with the fidelity of Lee Marvin's voice which is absolutely priceless! Tony....still playing around with the design and strength of the device ontop.

Ive got a suicidal addiction to surfing the A.I. Short and Sweet.

My first surfing A.I successful vid

Great video! I also would love to know how you setup the mast camera.

Excellent video, but I was a little let down because when you said "laugh at my expense" I expected to see a nice capsizing at minimum ;-)

You did really well on that wave! Here on Maui, one brother who goes by Snuba Steve (not sure if he uses the forums) rode a big one on his AI a couple weeks ago. I won't tell his whole story here, but he successfully rode down the wave, but ended up capsizing in the big white wash at the end of the ride. He managed to get his sail dislodged from the reef and lived to tell about it... and tell he did.

Thanks for the great video. Angles, Speeds, Transitions and Soundtrack all five-stars!

That was very entertaining. Great work Mattt! 8)
That mast top mount is very clever. It swings around smoothly to the low side of the mast and gives a unique view of AI sailing.
Hmmm....you've got me thinking.
