Hi,

I have a tandem Island and sail in Lake Michigan. As a safety measure I recently purchased a large compass. (Mechanical not electronic) it came with a kind of bungee harness for mounting, but for the life of me I can't figure out where to mount this. I've seen some people mount on the gear hatch, but isn't that a recipe for stepping on it and breaking it?

Thoughts on how and where to mount. It's roughly 3.5" in diamete by about 2.5 high. It has a foam pad on the bottom with four 12" bunnies with clips sprouting like a spider out the back

Thanks

Hope this helps. This was rigged with 2 hose clamps wraped with black tape. The compass is mounted on a ram mount system. The hose clamps hold about a 12 in piece of aluminum strip wraped with black tape.
