I have Hakas now on my TI so throwing a castnet is no problem at all. My problem is getting the bait from the castnet into the livewell. I need a way to empty the cast net onto the Hakas until I have enough bait to transfer to the livewell. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. The bucket will be my last resort, I don't like emptying bait in a bucket and its bulky. I'm thinking about a small tarp that I can quickly setup between the hobie and hakas

Plastic shower curtain liner. They are lightweight and pretty strong. You can pull part of it back over the dumped out bait to keep them from hoping overboard. Cut the shower curtain down if you need to. EDIT: And you can guide the bait into your baitwell pretty easily by folding it. like a scoop or funnel.

It looks like securing the shower curtain and quickly taking it on/off will present some challenges. I think Im leaning now toward an inflatable tube or 1 man raft. I could keep it deflated when not in use or drag it under the haka

Since I rarely use live bait anymore I'm probably not the right person to advise you. Heck, my advice would be to simplify and use artificials. :-)
