Thanks ok Tony, I realize most guys here have another life apart from these "plastic fantastics" - I certainly do!
However, I did have a little trouble following your reasoning on a couple points - more pics would have helped - as they say, "a picture is worth a 1000 words"
I just mounted my Scotty Downrigger 1106 (with braided line) on one of my passenger EMT spine boards. I went with braid for less water friction, and safety should I need to cut the cable in a crisis situation. Pics coming from my sea trials this Wed.
