NOHUHU:
I'm with you on that one, When I bought my first TI back in 2010, I saw right away that it was a little light on sail area, especially with the typical light winds we have around here, didn't point well into the wind and was total dog dudu downwind. At the time the jib was promised any time now, and should be out very soon (at least that's what we were told), after a few weeks, I gave up on them and just built my own crap(got tired of waiting), we have all been waiting ever since LOL. It's not rocket science LOL.
I'm sure Hobie is market driven, and there was apparently zero interest in the jib so it was all dropped. To be honest I have never taken my boat out without a jib installed and operating in 4 1/2 yrs, I have no desire whatsoever to sail the boat without one.
Oh well, I guess it a mute point now
Bob

Why is it "a mute point?" One of the redeeming features of so much weight being added to the 2015 AI is if it is now ready to mount a jib. I think that is going to happen in the not too distant future.

So there is still a chance.
I doubt it would be everyone's cup of tea, but for us guys in light wind areas I think it would help me point better, and improve downwind with a batwing configuration withou having to add a huge spinnaker. We only need to add a little bit of performance in my opinion. When the wind is higher just leave it furled or off. I just hate roasting out there in the sun in 5mph winds, much prefer traveling 8-10 mph where I get at least a little wind and spray.

Nice! I would buy a red jib in a heartbeat if it looked that good.
