I sit in the front seat of my TI. I want to get an eVolve in the spring, but it's not readily apparent where I should mount the throttle. I definitely want it on the right as that feels more natural and the rudder control is on the left. I really think my best bet is to sacrifice that little cubby hole immediately to the right. Any farther fore and I'd have trouble reaching it. Anyone have any experience with this?

yup...that's what I did. Put a ram ball in the right cup holder and mount the throttle Mount on the ram ball. I usually have the motor in the back Mirage drive slot and sit in front, so when a fish strikes I can easily turn off the motor, reef the sail and use the front Mirage drive to maneuver the boat while fighting the fish.

Peace

Could I bother you to post a picture of your installation?

I have mounted the throttle at the rear, but the construction at front would be pretty much similar.

Very nice! I like that the pocket there can still be used. I'm going to do mine the same way. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the throttle hooks to a ball so it can be adjusted, right?

I don't think the cup holder is still usable because the Ram ball would be in the way. Here is a pic of the mount.

You could try using a Scotty flush mount if there is room and then a Ram wedge mount 1.5" adapter for Scotty base. That would allow the cup holder to be used if the remote is not installed.
