Anyone out there that have taken delivery of the new 2015 AI. I know that people living further away would love to see some video footage of how the boat handles, and what your impressions are.
Just to keep us all entertained while we wait for ours to arrive.

There must be others, but the only 2015 AI that I know of is Chief's over in St Petersburg, FL. And, he is too busy setting up the 2015 Everglades Challenge (Mar 7-14, 2015) to be taking videos. For sure, after the start of the 2015 EC, there will be some videos. I see that Jim Czarnowski (PenquinMan) is signed up to do the 2015 EC in an 2015 AI--it always makes great advertising. If people don't know, Jim is the chief engineer for the Islands.

I've got one out here on San Francisco bay. Planning on a sturgeon trip tomorrow, so will bring the go pro. Forecast right now is for zero wind, so may be a pretty boring vid!

Photo of new TI on submersible platform here in Jacksonville on St. John's river. For yesterday's maiden voyage, setup worked flawlessly

Wallabee, where are you on the St John's? I have an AI and a TI down in Orange Park.

I got mine three weeks ago. Hudge improvement over my 2009 AI. Sailed it first time in light winds, second time in very strong winds. I never needed to reef, tacks easier, much faster and the seat is sooooo nice.

Hey Sundance. we are in avondale. would love to join up and sail sometime. as the weather warms, a buddy and i were talking about going from our end of the river to the ocean. need to get a better feel of how much ground i can cover on the TI - obviously wind, current etc will play a big factor. may be biting off more than we can chew. its about 25 nautical miles with all the twists and turns of the river - we figured it would be an all day affair. planning on getting out there this weekend and really getting a feel of the boat

Absolutely zero wind yesterday, so just spent time rigging the boat. Installed fishfinder, gear track, and the railblaza mounts on the akas.
Will try for maiden voyage mid next week...

Here is a link to a video of me taking my wife and four year old out on our family's maiden voyage with our new 2015 TI. This is my second time sailing a TI so easy on the sailing critique. I know the person who requested videos was probably looking for a walk through video of the new boat - but this is all I have right now. Thought some of you might enjoy it - if nothing else you know they are finally being delivered (and used)

Not a video of the AI but another of the 2015 TI taken yesterday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmkKWrM ... tion=share

This video was taken yesterday in Colorado at Pueblo res (Feb 5)... I had posted about a motor mount in the mods section and tested it out along with being able to reef from both the front and back seats. That little 2.5 hp outboard got the boat up to about 7 knots at full throttle and 6 knots at half - not at all bad. Between motoring and sailing, I did about 15 miles and ended up with maybe 10 ounces of water inside the hull - also not at all bad. I think the water must have come in through the control tubes in the rear.

I was solo and sailed from both the front and back seats.. I preferred the rear seat partly because it was a lot drier (and the water was ice cold).

Nice video. I have to say you are a little crazy to be sailing in Colorado this time of the year, but to each their own.

Well, not a video, but here are some pics of a 2015 AI I got to sail with. I was offered to sail it but decided to wait for mine to come in.

Thanks for that Bob. Great photos!!!
Really does sit higher in the water than the older version, and the new bow looks great.
What was the owner's impression of the boat?
