I do think that 3 of us commenting about steering issues of the AI 2 is significant.

I hear you.

Sometimes there are limitations of the boat that have to be learned. Sometimes techniques to learn. Sometimes mechanical changes can improve handling, so we will if that is possible. I've not personally had any real time on the new AI, but I have a life long experience sailing and on just about every kind of sailboat there is and understand clearly what you are experiencing. Jim has had the most time in the new AI after all of the development time and then sailing the EC loaded with gear. He says it is being over powered as described. We will continue to review here.

Clearly, my 2011 AI was for dummies, because, I didn't give any thought to sailing it and had no weather helm or lee helm,

I guess this is kind of how I feel. The previous boat was "set it and for get it" with great helm feel at all times. Now I have to be very strict with rudder down line settings and worry until I am out in open water as to whether I got it right. When it isn't right, I find myself missing my old boat ... which I was sailing next to this Sunday :)

thanks again for all of the comments and support
