Hi all, I'm looking to make some 'interim' tramps until I can afford to buy new ones...
Can anyone give me a 'rough' width please so that I can source some stainless tube to reinforce the front and back edges please. I'm away from home so not able to measure AKA's... Thanks...
First tramp I made was 28" wide.... so 36" CYA.
I found that fiberglass rod worked well for the back edge reinforcement...... And it seems friendlier than SS tubing (both hand-friendly on the ends, and tool-friendly when cutting....)..... Plus there's no chance of collapsing/crimping.
Here's my second tramp - which is wide enough to facilitate a deep-water remount via the ama, but narrow enough to allow paddling...... Also 28" wide.....

Not to be confused in the pic with the yellow Spectra line holding the two sections together .... but that's another story...
