Will the wider AI front cradle fit onto the 25" forward crossbar of 38652000 TRAILEX TRAILER or is some adaptation needed? I don't have the trailer but it is on my wish list so just wondering.

Dealers were informed of the change (by us in the US and should have been told by Australasia elsewhere) We offered to update older sets...

Matt, Can you confirm if the update offer is a free update?

I just purchased a set of 2015 cradles with the smaller front cradle and my local dealer are saying that they are not aware that there is a free upgrade and have no advice from Hobie Cat Australasia.

I pick up my new 2016 AI this weekend and will see how it sits on the cradles. I may not be able to balance the AI with my trailer set up so I may need the updated cradle to rest the front of the AMAs on.

Just back from China Hobie 16 Worlds and have seen the request from Wetspot Watersports, we are on it this week. Regards Steve Fields

I've gone from perplexity to anger over this Hobie dealer who supplied my Hobie Trailer initially with the wrong cradles and has just got me again.
I had a similar journey.... got all in a snit over the dealer shipping me outdated cradles.

But the dealer was good about it and shipped the latest-and-greatest cradles immediately.

Oops!.... The old ones fit better (front is tapered/contoured to fit the bow) and the instructions for the new ones were poorly written - and that's being diplomatic about it.

To make a long story short, I wound up sending the "New-and-Improved" cradles back instead of the old cradles.... and my AI2 and I have been happy with the older cradles ever since.

My only reservation is that the first winter with the boat stored on cradles is coming..... and if the hull is not deformed come spring I will call the older cradles a total success.
