Post subject:  Adventure 08 model advice

I have bought 2 days ago the Adventure 08 model that it is in transit from Hobie.I need to add only the outriger that is on the Island model. What is the part number needed and do I have to do any drilling on the haul.
Thanks

That's going to be some work. Yes, drilling is required. No, I don't know where or what size bits. I believe the Island Ama Kit ($899 USD)will have everything you need, but have not seen one yet.

If you're installing just the outriggers and not the sail, I would thing it would be just 10 bolts, with no drilling, if the brass inserts are already molded in the hull. Four each for both Aka supports (Xbar), then the 2 Ball Braces.

I think Bob is correct. We just unwrapped an '08 Adventure, and it looked like all the screws were already on the boat for attaching the XBar assemblies.

What I'm not sure about is if the Ball for the brace is alreay mounted, and the yak just drove off.
