Stringy, congratulations on your new AI!

The Adventure/AI seems to ride right side up without any problems. It helps to have large saddles mounted where they support the hull well.

Your choice depends on the type of vehicle you use. In my application it is easiest to load from the rear. For that I use Thule #875 "Hydroglide" saddles in the rear to slide the boat on and #878 "Set to Go" rubber saddles in the front to grip. They look like this:

There are some I do NOT recommend: Thule "Top Deck" -- the smaller pads don't support the hull as well; roller systems -- they put too much pressure on one point and really dent the hull; Yakima bars -- the round bars make it difficult or impossible to keep your saddles from rotating out of position like this:

BTW, since your boat probably sits on wheels all day, have you tried the tennis balls with your cart to keep the hull from denting? Works well with the AI, but needs extenders on deeper hulls like the Oasis outfitter, etc. to insure the cart extends all the way through the scuppers. 8)

Hey Roadrunner...

Refresh my memory. What are you using for the cart extensions? It looks like PVC pipe. Schedule 40?

Yes, the sked. 40 inside and slip/thread couplers (beveled) on top. I've been real happy with it. Here's a link to the project:

There it is... I just didn't go back far enough in the archives, though I was probably looking in this section.

Thanks,

G'Day Roadrunner,
I have been using your tennis balls idea since reading your original post. They work great, thanks, and thanks too for the rack pad info -very useful. 8)
I bought a small trailer today and I am looking at ways to cradle the AI. It should make it easier to get it to the water so I can get there more often! :D
