Just wanted to say hello and I am looking forward to joining the AI crowd soon. I purchased an 07 Mirage Adventure about 2 months ago with the idea to upgrade it to a full blown AI. I have followed several forums on this and hope to place an order for the $1500.00 kit in July. Mean while just peddle and paddle around a few lakes and coast here in North Carolina.

My Wife, Son and I have been yaking for about 8 years and I sailed in the Nacra Cat fleet in Texas for several years (early '80s). Always fished, so this seems like it going to be heaven for me.

Looks like I need to do a Mirage Drive upgrade in addition to the AI conversion to be up to date.

Hope to meet some other Kayak Fishing buddies here in Carolina's.

Our fleet: 2 Wilderness Systems Pungo, 1 Mirage Adventure (soon AI), 2 Perception White Water. Probably a 2nd AI later in fall. (have to sell some other power stuff first)

I would have bought the AI straight up, but the dealer in Oriental, NC did not have one, great people though. If Paddle Pamilico is reading - thanks - great boat.

Welcome Jeff....you will have a blast. The guys here are enthusiastic and very helpful. I've only had mine 4 days and because of all the knowledge I gained here in advance, I avoided so many problems and could enjoy the A1 straightaway. I might even be persuaded to learn to fish!
