I'm reconsidering the trailer I built for my AIs (see http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=8329) because it's too heavy and the dual axles make it difficult to maneuver around the yard by hand.

However, I love being able to roll my AIs straight on the trailer. Can you do that with the Trailex, or do you have to lift the boats on?

For the rolling technique to work, the rear craddle needs to be forward of where the AI plugin cart sits. Does anyone have pictures showing the AI on the Trailex from the side? Have you tried travelling with the plugin cart left attached (I do that on my current trailer)? I noticed the new cart with the cart keeper feature -- I had done about the same by simply drilling a hole through the tube and keeping a stainless cotter pin attached to the aka to hold the cart in place, and it saved me a lot of trouble when miving the yak by myself.

You can roll right to the trailer, but then have to slide onto the cradles and remove the cart at some point. Its easy.
