Here is an updated video in kayak car-topping methods, one of which is a suction cup loader we build at SLH

I appreciate the information on the home made kayak loader. I found that the 1 inch "T" fitting was slightly larger than the sawn off handle on the sucker handle. I agree that screws will strengthen the joint. I added a length of hollow aluminum rod with dowel inside that. I used the "red" PVS/ABS glue can and then stainless steel sheet metal screws to screw it all down. I'm about to add the "rollers" and the foam (layer 3). I plan to test everything tomorrow. I may not need two of these. My main concern was having something on the trunk to rest the kayak on and assist. I built a longer cart to flatten out the angle of the kayak to the car.

I own a Hobie Revolution 13 kayak so I need as much mechanical advantage as I can get (I'm retired). I'll try to shoot some video tomorrow.

Here's my version of the roller which has only a small difference. Thanks for the great video and instructions. This will help me a great deal. I may only need one of these. Thanks again.
