Hi there,

I'm a newbie and about to take deliver of a TI. If I keep it on the beach what do I have to consider in terms of environmental effects on it?

I've got my vandalism/extreme weather events considerations already sorted out, and I have a cover for it so that it won't be destroyed by the sun, but I'm wondering mainly what effect storing it on salty sand will have on the hull?

Should I still store it on a rack if possible so it's vented and off the sand, or am I being paranoid?! I was thinking that the hull is less likely to get deformed if it's sat on a bed of sand too as it will be well supported along much greater lengths of the hull, but again, is that actually wrong-headed?

Any advice would be much appreciated - all the posts I've found so far talk about sun damage, extreme weather and people screwing with you kit, but not about whether there's a downside to storing it on sand.
Cheers
