We now have four for our Broken Bay expedition (six if Stringy and Slaughter bring their mates. I thought it would be easier to post to the forum, than all try to communicate separately by email. Above is an image of where we are proposing to launch and where we would rendezvous. As Cowsgomoo is coming up from Sydney, it will save him about 100 km for the round trip if he launches from Brooklyn instead of Patonga. I live about halfway between Brooklyn and Patonga, so I'm happy to meet him at Brooklyn and sail with him to Cowan Creek. At this stage, Cowsgomoo and I are proposing to meet at 9:00 AM (Saturday). If that's too early for Stringy or Slaughter, it's OK - there are plenty of great places to sail around the bay while we wait :D .

Best regards to your good self and Stringy. Hope you and the rest of the guys have a great outing - I know you will.
Your hospitality and friendship is nulli secondis and the waterways you have to play in are world class!
I look forward to another adventure with you guys sometime down the not-too-distant track.
Look forward to hearing all about this outing.
I now go sailing every Tues PM at the Paynesville Yacht Club - crewing on other guys sailing boats. They hold a stern chaser race between 1 - 3 pm and we all adjourn to the club house afterwards and consume the winners bottle of red  :o 8) :D The AI is my first sailing boat and crewing on these larger craft is quite enlightening!
The first thing I realised was just how much fun we can have without all the complications of these much more expensive and complex and laborious etc toys :!: :o :P
BTW I still go out on the AI - albeit a little less frequently in the cooler months.
I must get around to setting up the GPS on it - amongst other things

Great work getting this organised Chris! 8)
9:00am is OK by me.
I have a spare AI as none of my usual sailing buddies can make it, so if anyone wants to tag along they're welcome to borrow it. :)
PS-Thanks for that Mickey -good to hear from you!

I just read you email Chris, all sounds good to me. It will take me about 1 1/2 hours to get to Patonga from my place and say 1/2 hour to set up, park the car etc. so, based on past experience, I may be a bit late. I should be able to launch at 8:30 if that's not too late. I just phoned Blair, also from Lake Macquarie, and he's also going to join us. So looks like 5 of us, unless anyone else wants to join in. Chris could you pass my mobile no. onto Stringy. Thanks mate.

I'm looking forward to this. Should be a good day out. I'm not too fussed if anyone wants to make it a little later.

After reviewing my crappy mobile phone video footage of cuising Homebush Bay shipwrecks I picked up a Panasonic Lumix waterproof P&S camera with HD video. Don't have a waterproof stowage for the D300 yet. Best learn how to drive this the new toy.

All is looking good for Saturday. www.seabreeze.com.au reckons westerlies 10-15 knots. I havent heard from Stringy yet as to if he is still keen, what time and what part of Patongan Beach is the best place to launch. Don't worry about lunch fellas, I will throw in some sausages, and a loaf of bread and some sauce. I want to try out how my burner and cook'n gear fits in the AI as I'm planning a longer trip soon. Have you thought about whats a good spot to go after we meet up Chris ?

Good stuff. I'll bring my little gas burner as well and give it a run. Only small but I'd like to test it.

Hope everyone can make it.

Hey guys. you wouldn't believe it, I've had a hard drive crash on my main computer. My recent emails aren't backed up, so I've lost Slaughter and Cowsgomoo's mobile no's. If you could email me with them again, I can get them off my webmail. Also, Stringy doesn't have Slaughter's number and I can forward it to him. Stringy and I thought we should put in at Refuge Bay, near where we are meeting and Stringy suggested it would be worth climbing to the top of the waterfall. We could lunch there or at any number of little beaches further upstream. BTW, Slaughter there is a boat ramp at Patonga, not hard to find. If you can email or call me, I can get you and Stringy in touch with each other. At this stage, proposed meeting time is 9:00AM

Phew, fixed it - bloody SATA drives - their data plugs are the PC equivalent of AI rudder pins  .

Patience Mickey- these things take time!
Proper write up coming soon but we had a great day, though the light winds which dropped in the afternoon limited our exploration of one of our best waterways!

Nice photo of Refuge Bay Stringy - at least I think that's where you are. If I'm correct the waterfall is on the other side and I expect we'll see a photo of some/all of you having a shower under it with the Norsca girl :P
What a magnificent looking flotilla!!!! :D
I'm a little suprised you didn't all make a grand entrance into Darling Harbour - isn't the Boat Show on?????
How did the sausages turn out??
I think my old mate Pirate & I will have to come and pay you a visit sometime
