CGM, ya gotta stop making wishes about the weather - they're listening up there. The thing with sailing is there always seems to be either too little or too much wind. Fortunately, the AI is a great boat for making the most of either situation.

Yeh it was howl'n here on Sunday. Would have been good to be out amongst the waves but I ran out of time. 3 weeks sounds good. Have you got any plans ?

Yep, cruising in the AI :D

Best I start printing some maps...

Hey fellas. Is everyone still keen for next weekend ? I went out on Sunday in the hairiest wind I have been in to date. They said 14 knot easterly but it seemed way more. I got dropped off at Myuna Bay and sailed 5km straight into the easterly across to Point Wolstencroft just south of Pulbah Island. There is a school of sharks in Myuna Bay that I have been trying to spot but still no sighting. Then around Pulbah and North to the Rathmines. I hope it's not as choppy next weekend. The front of the AI disappeared a few times. Great fun but with the wave crest to creast being about 10-12 ft, by the end of the trip I was over it, cold, wet and knackered. ( Is there anything better than that shower when you get home ? )

Did you blokes get out ?

Yep, I'm still in! Been watching the forecasts over on Seabreeze.
I was hoping to get out yesterday (Sunday) but I was working on some AI projects ready for next weekend.

Yeah, I'm still up for it. Got out Saturday - a bit blowy, but not as bad as you copped. What time?

Any idea how long it take to get there from Sydney (Parramatta)?

Prolly about another 45 minutes from the Hawkesbury River.

Hey fellas. Yeh about 45-1hr depending upon how good you are with directions. If you are using your GPS it's quicker to get off the Highway at the Morisset turnoff. Go through Morisset and Dora Creek. Then, about 10-15 minutes drive off the highway, past the power station, past your first glimps of the lake, you go up a steep hill then when you get to the bottom, you get to the new road works at Rathmines Golf Course. Turn right into Dorrington road and keep going until you hit the lake. Then turn left and right to the car park. Give my mobile a ring if you get lost. If you miss the Morisset turnoff ( which is easy to do ) you turn off on the Toronto exit and go through Awaba. This adds about 10 minutes to the trip.
Anyone heard from Stringy ?

Thanks for that. What time are we meeting? Is 0930-1000 too late?

I've been keeping an eye on the weather. Could be good weather. Looks like the wind will pick up a little in the afternoon. Hopefully that means no last minute peddling back home.

Is it a BBQ lunch like last time?

I dare say I'm going to get caught here at work Friday night (usual case before going on leave) so I'll have to do some packing Thursday evening and Saturday morning.

We got any more that want to join us?

Just spoke to the other AI owner on the Lake and he is working but may catch up with us Saturday arvo.
Yeh, I spose we will do similar to last time as far as food. We will have to see what the wind is doing before we make too many plans on where we are going. It's been howl'n here over the last week.

I've been watching the wind forecast here-

http://www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/nsw4.asp

Saturday at this stage is looking kind of good. Temperature up around 27 deg C too.

I can supply the sausages this time if you like.

OK, you do the snags and I'll bring the salad and bread. I don't really care about the time. If your work'n the night before, then have to pack and drive, don't push it. We can just muck around in the bay until you come. If you can't see us, just go straight out towards the other side of the lake, we won't be far away. And if you forget something, don't panic, I only live about 2 minutes away. That is, don't panic if you've forgotten something like tomato sauce or drink, but if you've forgotten something like a mast, drive, amas, akas, hull etc. Then you can panic. ( I must admit, on more than one occasion, the mast was still in the garage while I was going down the drive )

27 deg C sounds good to me.

G'Day Slaughter, Chris and CGM,
Sorry, been very busy the last 2 weeks with home improvements and the AI hasn't been in the water. :(
Tomorrow I hope to finish concreting my driveway. It has taken me longer to get it ready than I first thought. A problem I may have is that there is a chance the concrete truck will need a bit of assistance and I may have to pull it up with my 4WD. If that happens then I won't be able to make it this Saturday as the 4WD will be stuck behind the slab for 3 days until the concrete cures. Hopefully the concrete truck will make it up OK.
I'll let you know by tomorrow night!

Not a problem mate. Gee, we all feel a bit guilty. Do we spend the day tack'n and gyb'n across the lake, or do we go down to Stringy's place and help him shovel concrete.

Let's put it to the vote............
