Hi Folks, Come on out and join the Chesapeake Hobie Island Group, and Hobie Fleet 940, the first official Hobie Adventure Island fleet, as we hold our first AI Regatta. The Inaugural Flying Tri regatta is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michael's, MD. This will be the first officially sanctioned race for the Adventure Island, the newest One Design racing class. Just think, you'll be able to say that you were there for the first class event. This could put you in the same league as Hobie Alter, Wayne Schafer, & Sandy Banks, three of the six skippers who participated in the first Hobie 14 regatta back in 1968. Unlike them, you may not have helped design or build these exciting boats, but you can participate in the first class event.
