Looks better in the water than on the land

Well fellas, I think the Broughton trip has almost been done to death. Everytime I hear about Jervis Bay it seems like a really good potential destination. Driven past it on a quick trip but never really stopped to have a good look. What do you all reckon about the next one being down that way. That would be about 1/2 way, give or take a couple of hundred k's, to Mickey place wouldn't it. Any thoughts. With this location we could probably get alot more interested AI'ers. Mainly because now everyone else knows how good our trips are and may get a few Hawaii visitors this time. Just a thought at this stage but the hardest part will be getting concensis on a date. Whatcha reckon ?

Looks a nice spot - well worth a visit for it's scenic beauty etc - and fishing if your that way inclined
I would be a starter if I am available - depends on possible date/s

I'd be a definite starter for Jervis Bay. I've been wanting to go there since last April. As I recall, none of the camping grounds is right down on the shore (for you tent-dwellers :P).

Ahh, just had a look. There's a couple of camping grounds on Currambene Creek, in Huskisson.

Chris - Might be good for the Hobie Hennessy Hammock
Anyone got any idea of when we might do this
The weather is starting to cool down - but not so much as to be out of the question in the next (say) 6 weeks
Otherwise I would imagine we're looking at later in the year - hopefully not while I'm O/seas (mid Aug - mid Nov)........but if I do miss it, I'll look forward to hearing all about it.
It would be great to have some of our international colleagues join us.
There would be no problem with spare parts or other equipment - the Australian Hobie HQ is right there

I grew up in Sutherland Shire and one of our favourite holiday destinations was Jervis Bay and surrounds. The Shoalhaven region is well worth a visit and would have lots of AI touring potential. The problem would be deciding just where to go.

Great Video! Now that showed the wave! I had to dry off after watching it!

Where's your sprayskirt? You really could have used one on that trip.

I guess we shouldn't pick on your Eiffel tower, as it works well.

Beautiful trip and video.

I had my sprayskirts on Bob and I have to say that on that occasion, they were overwhelmed by the elements. Seems they only work about 95% of the time

Great video. Hobie should be using it to demo the AI.

Thanks for the comments fellas! :)
I was pleased with the way the 'Eiffel' tower held the camera in those conditions. I only mounted it the night before we left and I wasn't sure it would hold.
Editing the HD video has been a huge learning curve. On my older PC I couldn't get the clips to play at all. :(
I found this site very helpful:

PS..
Bob,
Your excellent spray skirts are on my 'to do' list. I know Chris gives them the thumbs up!
Chris,
Thanks for grabbing the still. :)
