Any of those are OK for me. Slight preference for the weekend 30/4 -3/5. :)

Sort of look'n good. I'm just wondering though, if we go for 2,3 or 4 days, I'd prefer to go say a Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues or a Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun. Then I can take 1 full week off rather than a week day of 1 week and a week day of another. Does that make sence or am I just being a pain. It's just that its easier at work that way.

But whatever way we go, I'm there.

OK - now all we need is a detailed plan - which I guess will need to have enough flexibilty to accommodate unforeseen weather.
I'll leave that to you guys to work out - local knowledge is a big help

So am I!
With your 4 days in mind Slaughter I can do Thu 29/4 or Sat 1/5 OK. :)
For those who can't make the whole time I'm sure we could arrange meeting points.
Should we aim for 29/4 and have 1/5 as a back-up if the weather is no good?

Stringy - 29/4 is OK & the Sat 1/5 backup plan provides a good fall back.
On that basis I will proceed in a positive direction aiming for 29/4 and factor the fall-back dates into my planning.

Same here. I can't believe found a suitable time so quickly. We're getting good at this. Last weekend my mate from work did some dives around JB and the boat mored off Murrays Beach. I tried to attach a photo but too hard so here are some images

http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=e ... a=N&tab=wi

It is really well protected from swells and north easterly through to south westerly winds. Bit like the beach we launched from at Shoal Bay only more remote. Could be a good location for one night at least.

Hmmm, thinking, thinking..........
I definitely can't get down there before first thing Saturday morning. If you guys wanted to do the grand trip down the Shoalhaven River, you could leave the cars and Stringy's trailer at Nowra on the Thursday and have two days to get down to Jervis Bay. When I go back, on Sunday evening, I could drop Stringy off in Nowra and he could bring his trailer down to pick up everyone's boats. Or, if there's too many people, I could drop several in Nowra, as long as someone stays down in Jervis Bay to mind the boats.
I'm not being altruistic here - I just don't want to get down there, eager to explore Jervis Bay and have everyone yawning and going "Been there, done that".

Hmm - looks like this would be a doosey of a trip :)
Chris - that's a plan. I can see what you're getting at - let's see what the other guys think.

The more I look at this area, the more I feel I need to spend more time there.
Maybe I'll have to bring the cook and doggies and they can camp in the Shoalhaven river in our little houseboat while I go adventuring :D

Just spoke to the Ranger at Booderee National Park.

Looks like camping is as restrictive in JB as Cowan Creek. :?
You have to book and at this stage there are vacancies for that weekend at Greenpatch and Bristol Point. There is no camping on Murrays Beach but the JB side of the Beecroft Peninsula allows camping in certain spots on weekends only as the Navy conduct exercises there during the week.
Thanks for your offer Chris. Leaving Nowra and overnighting at Currarong could be possible. I'm wondering though if we shouldn't just explore from a base camp with people coming and going at different times?

There seem to be two camping areas on the banks of Currambene Creek at Huskisson. Maybe they're outside of the park.

I have nothing, let me repeat, nothing booked this year except this trip and my best mates wedding. I have just been informed by my wife that these two events now fall on the same weekend. Bet ya bloody life. Sorry fellas but are these dates for our trip locked in yet ? I really don't want to miss this one. If we can change the date to the following weekend or similar, you each get an extra portion of ..............
