Sounding and looking real good. As I said I'll try to be there at about 10:00am.

Here is another clip to keep you excited.

I don't think we will be able to hold Stringy back from the caves Mickey.

11 pages and not yet wet. If they called us 'All talk and no action' how could we argue otherwise. Our log had better be a ripper.

Anytime after Midnight!
I too will try for 10:00am.
Any of those sites should be OK Mickey.
Hope the swell is down so we can do some decent exploring. Those caves look great!
Can't wait! :)

This weekend Max! (7-9/May)
With entry to HB available from Midnight Thursday I am considering that option to avoid the peak hour Sydney traffic.
It's about a 4 hour drive for me so that would be do-able.

Yeah - Sydney peak hr traffic is no fun - although your motorways are pretty good now.
I,ve just been catching up with Jessica and Doug McIntyre. Made me think, if we don't run into Jess   maybe we should head out and join Doug

Hmmm...
Conflicting info. Just spoke to the Ranger station and you can't camp at HB until 8:00am on Friday. :?
So I'll drop the Midnight arrival idea.

Strange - I was told anytime after midnight was fine. (I didn't ask the question - he just said "after midnight") :?
I know my first thought was, who is going to be there or care whether you're there at that time of night.
Sounds like they make it up as they go.................
My understanding is that you can camp Fri & Sat nights and because there are no military exercises being conducted, it's possible to gain access before midday Fri. Anyhow, I guess 8am is pretty good. :) Stringy, is there a gate there or something :?:
I'm thinking of pushing off tonight and getting a few hours down the road - otherwise I've got 8 hrs driving tomorrow.
Think I'd prefer to get to Huskisson late tomorrow and visit the Hobie dealer and dive shop - just in case they've got something I "need"
See you guys down there - have a safe trip :D

I'm here :D Well - I'm actually in Huskisson. I thought I'd go around to Currarong and have a sneek peak. You wouldn't believe it - I got to the turn off off the highway only to find the local constabulary had set up a road block and no one could get in  I have no idea what's going on or how long the road will be blocked but sure hope it'll be sorted by morning  Hey - maybe the road block is to make sure we don't sneek in before 8 am
Anyhow, the weather is fantastic and a girl at the dive shop at Ulladulla told me the water is unseasonally warm at 21C at present. The way the conditions look we probably won't have to wear our fancy dress outfits

Have a good trip guys. Wish I could make it. I'm headed to Melbourne over the weekend for a bit of an unplanned family crisis. Probably miss Jessica Watson arriving too. I'll be looking forward to the reports. Hopefully I can make a future trip.

Yeah go for it you lucky Sons of Guns, too many Doctors too jump over for me to get there this time.
Go visit the big kayak shop in JB and talk to Matt, he says lots of Whales and their Calves stay in the Bay longer in November so I am aiming at that period, any interest?

Found a house we can rent right on the beach and park assembled AI's and wheel straight from front yard into the bay, it's not camping but it IS comfy and would not be exy if split between 4-6 sailors, I like camping too but I also like hot showers and armchairs after a big day on the water..

We expect many photos and lies when you return.

Well we survived after a fantastic weekend. I'll end off the thread here and the first with photos can start a new 'Jervis Bay Log' thread. But in answering your question Max, Jervis Bay again at the end of the year, count me in.
