Do you remember the title of the thread? I'll also need to look at doing a mod that allows me to furl the sail from the rear without having to get up from the seat each time.

Seems all the car pictures have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car.

bosab; the steering wheel is on the correct side. I think as you head north there is a parallax error with the camera.

Its like looking into the mirror :lol: :lol: :lol: :twisted:

Hi Hammer,
I picked up my TI on Friday and car topped it.
I have a Subaru Forrester 2008, Thule bars and the Yakima Showboat.
I wouldn't say it's easy but I managed it ok. I suspect I'll develop a few techniques which will make it more routine.
The main point is to make sure the car is on a flat piece of ground or sloping up from the back of the car. Sloping down from the back of the car makes it very much harder.
Boat tends to lean to one side or the other as you slide it on. Doesn't matter. It can't go far.
I may get the Yakima HullyRoller (keel wheel and cradle) when they are in stock in Oz in January.
In the meantime I'm going to do some more weights sessions, especially squats and military press!!

Car topping a TI from the back? Good one. I don't think its possible for me the Hilux is too high. The rack and roll is working Ok, got a little system going now.

Another awesome sail yesterday. Wind and weather is up in Sydney at the moment, went out with my Brother. Used the tramps for the first time. Southerly winds, and I had him hike out on the windward one and opened up the full sail and we we rocketing! !! 10 + knots easy but hard to say. A very rough wet and cold ride but loads of fun.

Very happy with purchase!

Great work!!

It is soo exciting being in aus; we all have our TI's coming into summer and the weather is great (today anyway in Melb) :lol: :lol: 8)
