Cedar Key Small Boat Meet! - May 6th - 9th!

Cedar Key is about 60 miles due west of Gainesville on the Gulf coast. This "event" is hosted by the WCTSS group (West Coast--of Florida--Trailer Sailing Squadron). It is a very informal group. Anyone is invited to join in the informal activities, even wanabees who hope to have a sail boat sometime. The only scheduled "event" is a barbeque on Saturday, May 7. The organizers (Ron Hoddinutt) ask a fee of $10 for the BBQ.

The home page of WCTSS is http://members.ij.net/wctss/wctss/index.htm

If you like to see small sail boats, this is a great opportunity. There are AIs (TIs?), beautiful sailing canoes, microcruisers, Sea Pearls, Mellonseeds, as well as larger sailing boats. Of course, you can get in some fishing if you like.

Nancy & I will be staying at the Old Fenimore Mill Condos--units 1-4 have best direct access to the Gulf. You can find lodging at http://www.cedarkey.org/lodging.php
