The water is warm the weather predictable how about a get together sail based around Patonga, Cowan Creek area?
I'm going around that area tomorrow launching from Palm beach around 10am.
I'd like to do an overnighter around that area in the near future, like this year, mid week OK.

Bugger it Dave. I was planning on a sail in that area tomorrow, but something's come up.
Do you launch from Palm Beach proper, or from Barranjoey?

Certainly a get together is long overdue but sorry Dave. I'm out too. Daughter's coming home tomorrow, and I don't get to see my little girl much now that she's all grown up and moved to the big smoke.

Hi CGM
Yeah I went out and had a great time, although the weather was strange with fog lasting till noon in Pitwater areas.
Heading out from Palm Beach around 10am I sailed into fog that was heading east while sailing in an 8knot noreaster. Over to Box Head weather was clear, water cold. Headed slowly down to Patonga then back to Palm beach. Wind settled 10-15 kt NE around 3pm. Nice area to sail, great beaches.
I enjoy Sydney,Middle and West Harbours mid week when not so busy, I go out most fine days from Northbridge around 10am. I've currently retired from fishing.
Had a look around Patonga and intend to do an overnighter there soon, good base area with camping ground and a pub!

So how about an overnighter at Patonga mid week or Sun Mon pre school holidays?

G'Day Davew,
Patonga is a bit too close to home for me to bother with camping but I'd be happy to meet you down there for the day trips.

I'm on holidays most of December.
We are aiming to do the Terrigal to Pretty Beach (via Maitland Bay for lunch) trip again. Best done midweek with a nor easter and low swell. I have the car shuffle organised.
Anyone interested? Maybe we could pick some possible dates?

Hi Stringy
I will keep an eye on the forum re Terrigal, though prefer looking around inland waterways theses days. I'm due for another Maitland Bay trip and would like to catch up. Looking forward to some good weather.

Stringy - I can do a weekday sail, and being able to tick off the Terrigal / Pretty Beach trip would be great.
Fridays are the best weekdays for me, as far as getting time off, but I’ll hopefully fit in to others plans. The only weekdays that I won’t be able to make it is the 2nd and 5th Dec. I can fit 2 AI's if that helps with anything !

Dave - Due to the Christmas period approaching Dave, overnighters are going to be harder for me to fit in but if I can I’d certainly love to do it.

Just to let you know that I'm also organising the annual bass fishing trip up the Hunter. We are trying for 2nd, 3rd and 4th but the river levels look like being too high with this rain. If it's not on those dates it will be pushed to possibly the next weekend. We have been planning this for the last 3 months so I've got to go. Everything is weather dependant so I'll just have to play it by ear. You may just have to plan it and I'll do everything to fit in. Don't want to stuff you blokes around.
