I need to do some modification on the side map pouches. Does anyone know whether the screws just turn with a screwdriver from the top, or is there a nut on the inside that needs to be backed with a wrench or something? It would be nice to not have to have someone reach in and up there to keep a nut from turning.

The mesh over the pockets is attached by selftapping screws that are easy to remove. I've used a cordless drill to remove them. Just make sure it's in reverse!

Thanks, I'll try it out.

They are just a screw. I have removed the mesh part from my Revo just using a screwdriver. I then put the plastic surround (without the mesh part) back with the same screws to cover the holes again.

My pockets are fraying and need to be replaced. The saltwater has probably worn them out even though I wash to A1 thoroughly with water after ever use. I was able to unscrew them easily by hand. My worry is that they won't tighten properly and that I might need to use a washer to ensure they don't come loose.
