My 06 is going back to Hobie I guess, it leaks, at the drive mount. It's a common problem, and not the first time I have experienced it.
My new yak arrives next week. Free, except for shipping.
Will my 2006 drive fit into my 2010 yak?

Replacement hulls come with a new drum shaft to replace your original drive's shaft. That makes the '06 drive fit.

FYI... while you may have experienced this before, drive well leaks have occured in a very small percentage of our older boat production. Primary cause seems to be the addition of Turbo fins which can heavily stress the well. Since 2007 production and the addition of a fitting molded into the well, we have seen a sharp decline of this issue.

Matt, thanks for your quick response!
I have avoided the turbofins for exactly that reason. What are your thoughts on the new hull? Is it beefier in that area?

Btw, I am a loyal hobie fan.
I love this kayak. The wife gets jealous. :)

So, yes... newer boats are much tougher in the area at the front of the well.
