Post subject:  Rebuilding Trailer - Need to replace U-Bolts

So I've been rebuilding the trailer for my H-16 this summer, and am totally stuck with the u-bolts that hold the crossbeams to the frame.

I can't find anybody locally (and I do mean anybody, have been all over the metro area trailer shops, have checked several spring shops too) that carry this size (or this diameter stock to bend and thread them).

Its a Little Dude trailer, my google-fu totally fails in finding any real info on this company, if its still around or what. Its a 1980 hobie, so thats the vintage of the trailer.

U-bolts are square top, 5/16" diameter bar, 2-3/4" width, 6-1/2" long...

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Maybe it won't work in this instance but I have made a fair equivalent of U-bolts by combining long bolts (or all-thread rod) and a connecting plate with holes at each end- which can be drilled to the proper width needed.
Adds additional nuts to jam and or break off later but a torch is always a primary tool for trailer repair
