I have two Hobie Mirage Outbacks that I want to install the Turbo Fins on. I'm trying to determine if I have the V1 or the V2 drives. And local dealers has not been able to tell me. I know from reading the forums that the V1 has a set screw holding the mast and the V2 is a threaded mast. Both of my drives have a cotter pin holding the stainless mast to the drive. Once you remove the cotter pin, the mast comes out. I have followed this forum religiously since owning the Mirages but have not seen this issue being mentioned. Does anybody know which drive or which Turbo fin kit I need? Thanks in advance for the help,

Sounds like you have the original medal (V0?) drive.

The V1 Turbo kit will work - it has a slot for the set screw - plus a hole for the cotter pin style (original)
No problem

Thank you folks for the quick response. I went ahead and order two set of Turbo fins for my Yaks.
