I'm a newby here and I'm in the process of purchasing a 2007 AI. The hulls are faded a bit and I was wondering of someone could tell me a good product that might restore the color. The AI is RED if that helps. I'm not really that concerned about sense I'll be using it stictly for fishing, but you know "Looks are everthing". Any help would be great. Thx

On the mainland, you may be able to find the elusive turtlewax red car wax, I could not.

WD 40 will bring back some color depth on temporary basis. Dittos for Aero 303 or Hobie's protectants.

If there are scratches too, I would recommend careful use of a heat gun or hairdryer. Try it on a small section. When you lightly heat the surface of the plastic it will reconstitute... if you overheat, it will warp or melt...

But the best way to keep then lookin good is to keep them in the water! So get out there and ripp it!

I read somewhere that Hobie had a color restorer. Have you heard if anyone has tried that?

Aero 303 is quite expensive.

How much of this stuff is required to treat a TI ?
950 ml ? 3.7 Litres ?

It won't take a great deal. Certainly not anywhere close to a liter. Perhaps a quarter of that. Of all the products mentioned, the 303 is what I'd go for.
