Post subject:  TI furling line cleat

Hi,

When I brought my TI to the garage today I realized that the cleat for the furling line somehow got lost...

Anybody knows the part no for the TI furling line cleat and does it come with the right screws to install on the TI Aka? (It is the same part no for AI and TI right? )

Thanks for your feedback!

Cheers
Serbi

They are Harken cleats and you may need to trim the screws down so as not to foul the aka tubes.
If you take one of the other cleats off to a chandlery you can match up the hole pattern.

Also double check the threads, chances are they are stripped out if the cleat just fell off. There are 5 mounting point on the front aka for harken cleats, alternately you can use one of the extra mounting points if those threads are stripped. You can get harken cleats at any marine supply store.
If I remember correctly they are threaded 8/32 American threads, if you can't find American screws you may need to re-tap the threads to metric and use metric screws ( if that's all you can get).
Either American or metric, you will likely need to trim the length of the screws so they don't interfere with the aka bars.
Good luck

Chandlery? How did that get in here? What am I missing or is it because I'm living in FL?

I think it is FL Keith! Chandlery is a very common term for a marine supply store here as well.
