I have a 2010 mirage oasis tandem kayak. We have been using it for the last 4 years with little problem. There is a leak - near pedal attachment which we have fixed the best we can. Our rudder pin fell out. It is covered with rust - we don't know if this is due to leak or not.

When you search for twist and stow rudder pin - a number of different pins come up. So I would appreciate having the correct part number for this kayak.

Also I don't know if I will be able to put the rudder back on. It seems rather hard to line up the top and bottom holes on rudder with the boat attachment. Should this be difficult? Is there a trick? Appreciate any help. Also if anyone knows of someone who could help with this repair in Richmond, VA.
Thanks very much.

2010 Oasis should be the "Twist and Stow" type and pin #81394001

You might have to loosen the control lines to position the rudder to insert the pin.
