Two days ago I used my i12 mirage for the first time. I purchased it used in perfect shape. I had purchased a new cart which I used to and from the beach. No problem. It was on my deck yesterday uninflated and later in the day when showing it to the neighbor I inflated it, and attempted to insert the cart and it no longer fit, the holes were farther apart that the inserts. Any ideas of what may have occurred to cause this and a fix?

The i-Series carts plug into the bottom of the drive well. That is an injection molded part and would not vary in width. I can only guess too much pressure in the floor could have distorted the well?... but it is so strong, I can't imagine that.

Your cart look like this one?

Yes that is the correct cart and we did come up with a fix. We laid the kayak down, bottom up, in the sun and with a large pair of water pump pliers and a clamp, we gently pulled the holes closer together over time. That was our only hope. They were about 3/8 of an inch off. It worked and all is well. Don't know why it happened. Thanks for the reply and concern.

Maybe the cart posts got bent? That is more likely.

I don't know anything about the inflatables but she said it was out on the deck so maybe it got distorted by the sun and heat.

That's our theory. We think the sun did it. It was not inflated and was folded sitting in the sun. It was a blue sky day at Tahoe. Thankfully it is ok now, inflated, wheels attached and in the shade covered with a tarp ready to go.
