Tandem Island Hull Filled Up With Water

HI - Thank you for reading/responding. My 2014 Tandem Island - the Hull has a bunch of water in it.
Question: the "plug" on the back of the Hobie underneath- is that the only / best way for me to drain the water out?
I unscrewed this plug and titled the boat until the water stopped coming out- but, then when I put the boat back down I can hear that there is still a fair amount of water in there.
Any thoughts/comments - much appreciated.

The AI/TI boats have some curvature along the keel. If you do not tilt the boat far enough, water in the hull will not completely drain. It is a simple matter to sponge it out when the hull is level.

If your hull has a "bunch" of water in it after a day's sail, you should consider where it is entering and attempt to fix the problem.

You can also use a bilge pump to empty the water more quickly than the drain plug. If you don't have one, I'd suggest it is a required item to have aboard.
