Hey all. I'm contemplating a P Angler and transporting it would be my only issue. I currently throw my quest on top of my Honda Element without much of a problem, but i'm concerned that this may not be an option with the PA.

Any feedback, suggestions, or input would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

I don't know why so many people think you cant car top the PA. I do it all the time.

Just check the payload rating for your Element's rack in the owner's manual. I've seen roof racks that were only rated for 75 lbs. Thule racks on Elements are rated pretty high - 150 lbs I think. I don't know about the factory rack.

What is that rack with the rear rollers that you are using there?

Mark,

Where did you get the fishing evolution decal? It's the bomb!

My thought was using the rollers and saddle combination as in an early post on here. It would look pretty nice sitting right next to the Revo.

hoth2o....A few years back, one of our NEKF members came up with that graphic and did a limited edition of T-Shirts. Mark came up with an idea, asked permission of the graphic designer, searched out a person willing to take on the decal project, then had one made for each of us. It was pretty touchy work with the rods, the hatching in the crates and all. I forget what the final cost was but it wasn't cheap. The good thing is that they have held up for the most part even with the crazy winter road conditions up here.

EZrider,
I don't need the rollers for my PA but I would like to know what the other mounts are? looks like they support the PA well. I carry my PA on a 1/4 ton Bantam "Jeep" trailer. how do the mounts connect to the crossbars?

We posted a video of us strapping down a PA using a Thule Slipstream system. Here's the direct link: http://www.hobiecat.com/media/video/vid ... artop.html

the PA page has more info on it: http://www.hobiecat.com/fishing/models_proangler.html#

I made a short video last Sunday. It really is easier than I thought it would be to car top. The biggest surprise to me was that it is easier on my back than loading the Adventure into a hulavator.
