Some people have been asking me for pics of my setup.

Humminbird 565 on a ram wedge mount. At first i was going to mount the ff on the side. I chose the front because its out of the way. And 2nd once you have the ff setup there is really no other adjustments.

Hear is the Humminbird transducer mount kit. It makes installing the transducer very clean. I get perfect duel cone, gray scale as well as temp. I'm not sure what the grease is that is used to seal the unit. The black housing is held with 3M adhesive.

I crafted a battery box out of a waterproof marine box. Also bought a waterproof 2 prong connector. Makes setup and take down a snap. Can also buy an extra male connector and wire it to you charger. Makes it clean and simple.

I use and love the Delrome PN-40 GPS. I use a Ram mount in vehicle suction mount. It is very strong and i can mount it anywhere on the inside.

EZ, thanks for taking the time to share your setup with everyone. is that the transducer that came with the FF? did you just glue or silicone it to the inside of the hull?
what are you using for rod holders?

If you look closely. The transducer is sitting in a black housing with a Velcro strap. Once the mount is set there is a grease that comes with it that gos inside of the mount to seal it. It is a really neat setup from Humminbird. The transducer is the standard one that comes from HB.

I went with Ram tubes and cut off the backs so the rods would sit all the way though.

EZ, it is great to see how others have their yaks rigged, gives me lots of ideas I can "borrow"! do you find the rod holders with rods in them are in the way when you need to paddle? where do you keep your net?
I moved my rod holders to the rear of the rails as they were in the way when I wanted to paddle instead of pedal.
can you see your FF ok when it is in the mast mount?

I have since switched to the single paddle setup on my PA. Hobie provide a handle to turn the duel paddle into a single. Having been out well over 20 times and countless hours I've used the paddle once.

These rod holders can be positioned at any angle, both at the ball and the rod holder itself. I like that i can angle them back to me or adjust them to hold a rod while unhooking a fish/rigging.

The size of the screen on the 565 is bigger than most smaller FF. I have no problem seeing the screen. Its also not that bad to reach forward to adjust if need be.
Here is a good shot of the FF from the seat.
