We own our own servers and it causes a potential security issue I was told. Maybe more related to bandwidth and storage in past years. We are way past that these days, so looking at it again.

In all honesty, I thought posting images here was a pain in the a## at first, but now thanks to the helpful bunch here, it really isn't an issue. Follow the instructions at the other posts and it's a breeze. I just added image hosting to my Yahoo account, most people have a Hotmail, Yahoo or whatever account anyway to avoid spam on their "real" email account.
If a bit of PITA preserves the site (and probably makes it run cleaner in the process) I'm OK with it.
