Hi all,
I was wondering if the Mirage drive well seal comes with the purchase of the Mirage drive. I purchased a spare drive the other day and it arrived without the seal. The drive that came with my PA had the seal included. It's not a big deal as I can change the seal when swapping drives but would like the seal if it should come with the purchase. Matt or anyone who knows, if you could please let me know I'd most appreciate any follow up.

Thanks,

GR8 Laker

I'm thinking the drive well seal is part of the kayak package. Not the drive package. But then what do I know?

The seal is sold as an accessory. Just like the ST turbo fins. It does come with the PA drive. The PA comes with all the little bells and whistles.

We removed the seals from drives this year due to problems people had installing the drives in some models. The seals cause frictions and can tip the drive forward and lock in wrong... which damages the drive and possibly the boat if pedaled that way.

The seal is now in the manual packet for installation if desired.
