I was wondering if someone with the Hobie Trailex trailor setup could measure from the stern handle of the PA to the the tip of the trailer tongue. I have a short garage with only 18' available and the garage is a must in the Arizona heat. I love my PA but I'm starting to see the advantages of the trailor over the roof rack.

The trailer is just over 15 feet. You can move the crossbars forward, so getting the over all length under 18 feet should not be a problem.

I've got the SU350 Trailex and it's 18 foot long. The kayaks carry inside the length of the trailer and I could easily cut off a foot or so from the rear of the trailer and not miss a lick. Moving the arms forward would make it a little heavier to move around as the center of gravity would move forward but it's not that big of a deal. Either trailer they sell can be made to fit inside your garage. I carry an Outback and the PA on mine. Love the convenience and when coming off the water cooked and whipped, it's not a big deal to load it all up, tie it down and go home. When I was loading it all on top, I was getting afraid to come back to the beach...
