I was wondering if someone with the Hobie Trailex trailor setup could measure from the stern handle of the PA to the the tip of the trailer tongue. I have a short garage with only 18' available and the garage is a must in the Arizona heat. I love my PA but I'm starting to see the advantages of the trailor over the roof rack. |

The trailer is just over 15 feet. You can move the crossbars forward, so getting the over all length under 18 feet should not be a problem. |

I've got the SU350 Trailex and it's 18 foot long. The kayaks carry inside the length of the trailer and I could easily cut off a foot or so from the rear of the trailer and not miss a lick. Moving the arms forward would make it a little heavier to move around as the center of gravity would move forward but it's not that big of a deal. Either trailer they sell can be made to fit inside your garage. I carry an Outback and the PA on mine. Love the convenience and when coming off the water cooked and whipped, it's not a big deal to load it all up, tie it down and go home. When I was loading it all on top, I was getting afraid to come back to the beach... |
