Post subject:  Crabbing off the PA
Took my first shot at crabbing off the PA today, it was awesome. Lost triple what I caught using droplines, next venture out will be using the box type cages. My kid loved it, and is now hooked for life. I now have three seats total on my PA, all removable when needbe; good news is: I can now fish all the time with my twin boys and not stay home because of a the lack of finding a sitter. We're fluking all the time now, and really enjoying life.

I love the front seat for your boy. My kids sit on the rear deck of the PA, but I think they would rather sit up front. The only issue I had with the PA handling with the kids on board was when I didn't realize my daughter had both legs hanging in the water! I noticed the boat did pull a little. :)

With both front and rear seats installed it's now a family outing twice a week. Crabbing is cool, but fluking is simply awesome. My one son is around 50#, once he gets to around 65# he will not be able to use the front seat the way it is; I will have to fiberglass it for support. Right now it's not an issue.
One thing about crabbing on the yak, it's necessary to use an anchor trolly; and better yet another weighted anchor off the side in conjuntion to hold exact position. It's all about line management to be successful. More pics to come, it's too warm to fluke fish with much success; so crabbing will be the venue for now. It's all good. :D

Great pics, Sifisto! I've been wanting to try crabbing off of my PA, too. Seems like the PA would be perfect for crabbing. Nice mess of fluke there, too!
You must be the first person to put a front seat on a PA. Always the innovator! You are the master of PA rigging.
