I've had two of my four kids out on the PA (separately, of course). What great fun!
My son was busy splashing in the water and playing with the scupper plugs. They went to the bottom of the lake.

I don't think your kids will soon forget that trip! what kind of fishing pole is that your daughter has with the spring looking thing on the rod? |

I'm glad my daughter caught something. We were fising midday in the heat under a bluebird sky, so I was not confident. I still owe my two other daughters a turn fishing with Dad. My 14 year old may slow down the old man's speed in the PA. Maybe she should pedal me around! The rod she's using is an Emmrod http://www.emmrod.com. I picked it up on an impulse buy at a boat show a couple of years ago. It's a neat little rig that is perfect for the kids to use on the boat -- it's nice and short. I've used it, too, and it works great. I keep it in my car with a little lure box for those spur of the moment fishing opportunties. It comes apart and stores easily under the seat of my vehicle. The rig uses the coiled spring rather than a long rod for the action. TDK |
