Hi all,
This is my first post. I won a Pro Angler in 3 part fishing series this summer. It was sitting on a Malone trailer with Malone saddles. They left dents in the kayak and the saddles cracked, wondering what people are using. Need some suggestions so that the kayak is safe and secure on the the trailer. Going to find out how good the warranty is on Malone products I guess.

I use three sets of Yakima Mako Shark saddles on my PA. the PA is a heavy beast so I figure extra support can't hurt. I too had dents in my PA but it was from using a ratchet type strap. I left the PA in the sun for two days in 90 degree weather and the dents are gone.

Thanks, I like the idea of using the foam blocks as well as the saddles, I hadn't thought of that. That should help take a lot of the pressure off the saddles. Glad you put in the pic.

Hobie also makes form fitting saddles for your PA. They are a bit pricey but they work. Congrats on the tournament win. You'll love the PA!

I have a buddy who makes wakeboards. I showed him a pic of the cradles for the PA, he says we can make some. Will see if we can do it for less than they cost to buy. Will report if we have success.
