Hobie Cradles on an Old Jet Ski Trailer

I took an old jet ski trailer and built with the help of other on this Forum a Trailer with Hobie's Cradles for my PA.

Great job and thanks for posting the pictures.
Did you have to extend the tongue on the trailer to accomadate the length of the Pro Angler?
I live in New Jersey and you have to put a red flag on anything that sticks out more the 24inches off the back of the trailer.

Not sure of your question. I cut the old tongue off and put a completely new tongue from front to rear. I did make it longer to accommodate the opening of my tailgate on my Suburban. As for the rear, I am going to move the light to the end of the trailer which, I think would take care of your New Jersey Law.

I went to a local Metal Shop "Alro Metals Plus" Winter Springs, FL and had cut to my size. The Steel was cut from: 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 7 Gage Wall Tubing at 16 foot. Additionally, I bought the same at 4 foot and welded it across the rear area as you can see in my photos. I am now able to just pull the PA to the rear and either sit on the wheel/cart and then roll it off or direct to the ground. Hope this helps!
