Here is a nice selection of seat slides I found at www.PartsPak.com. I have used these guys for years for other marine parts.

Thanks again

I have a 2 step solution.

Step 1: Toss Seatasaurus Rex to the tip, or donate to local croquet club. (Cause that is what it looks like it came from)

Step 2: Insert Surf to Summit Expedition Seat.

Besides the "Gatsby" look of the original seat, it weighs a ton, and is a dangerous item. Possibly the most dangerously, over engineered, under thought (besides our friend Rodney Rudder) item on the thing. Why? because as you lean to counter the roll, ones butt simple falls away and increases the moment of rolling.

Take a look at the GTS seat Hobie geeks. THIS is design.

I went with the bass pro sliding seat. Read comments here and decided my fingers were too big to install it as was. Removed the 2 bolts on the lock arm, and slid the slide completely off. Then mounted it to seat, put slide plate back together and remounted the lock arm and bolts. Easy on the fingers and 20 minutes, start to finish. Hope this helps.

Ordered the seat slide and it will be my first mod to the PA when I pick it up this weekend. Thanks again for the helpful advice on this board.
