You mount the si outside the hull and the "normal" transducer inside the hull. There is a splitter cable that will allow you to connect both simultaneously. You do not have to switch from one to the other for different functions, BUT, the SI transducer is the only one that does down imaging. The through hull transducer will be a typical split beam type that does classic depth and graph type display only. The fancy foot work is done by the externally mounted si transducer. Enjoy, Phill |
