Anybody had any troubles with the newer Trax 2 Wheel-eez sand tires? I had one go flat on me today for no good reason. Used the cart to launch from a beach, fished for several hrs, and then pulled out. Dragging the PA back up the beach to my truck, one tire went flat. When I checked it out later, I found that a crack had developed on the exterior sidewall. The crack was a perfect outline around of one of the "e's" in the Wheel-eez logo. Certainly not a wear surface. I keep the cart in a cool garage with no load on it, so the tires have not been used much at all. Fortunately, my local Hobie dealer had a spare and was kind enough to swap it out as a warranty item since this was not a wear-related puncture.

When you tipped your PA to take the cart out (while launching), did you hear any noise like a pop or something?

I never tip the PA on it's side for inserting the wheels. I transport my PA in the back of my pickup using a bed extender. Then I pull it partway out and attach the wheels while it is still in the truckbed. I walk it out to knee-deep water and pull the wheels off underwater. Pullout is the same in reverse. So these wheels have never seen any sidewall lateral-load forces.
