I found a company in Florida that make a trolling motor that goes right in place of the mirage drive, islandhopperoutboards.com, the motor is only a 30 lb thrust but still propels the yak at 3 to 3.5, all you have to do is insert the motor, clip it in and connect the battery, I got mine yesterday and went out on the water the motor will rotate 360 but it is better if you use it straight and steer with the rudder, it has 5 forward and 2 reverse speeds, oh did I mention the unit is $500.00, check out there website and see for yourself.

I like the slide through the hole deal but $500????????

Watersnake for 88 bucks. I have it from a good source that it will move your yak just as fast. and is about 8lbs, and the good thing about the 18 lbs of thrust is it isn't going to torque your mount much so a DIY er could make an attachment.
ya know just as long as you can get the prop end through the hole anyone could make one for 150 bucks max.
