Is there a thread or any info anyone can offer about prevention of premature rudder failure. Storage position up or down?

Also, anyone have trouble with the rudder cable (rope) wearing where it attaches to the cleat?

Thanks,

Andrew

I have had my PA for 3 seasons, no rudder failure. Always stored it in the "Up" position. I have never had any wearing of the "cable". If I had a worn,or frayed "cable" I would simply replace it with a piece of heavy duty(150-250lb) Power Pro fishing line. Hope this helps. Regards....

I have had a PA since summer of 09 and no problems with the rudder lines yet. I always store the rudder up.
