I just got a hobie pro angler 12 for this season and I wanted to know if it can be stored flat upright. I know they recommend to use properly fitting cradles to store it upright so the hull doesn't get dented. What if it was set on a mattress or something similar that wouldn't be too rigid or make any dents?

I store mine flat upright. I just put a few foam noodles crosswise underneath it so it's not sitting directly on the floor. Never had an issue.

I store mine upright and the bottom is flat on a long piece of thick carpet that I bought at a garage sale. When I bought mine I asked my dealer and he told me to do this just like he does in his showroom.

This is what I've come up with to store my PA12. We have limited space and I needed to be able to load and unload the boat myself. 3 inch PVC piping. So far so good. Image

I like your storage stand. What is that nasty white stuff on the ground under the PA? I had a lifetime of dealing with that stuff and I hope to never see it again in person!!

I like your cart. That is the first one in copper that I have seen. If you zip tie a noodle around the cross brace the PA will ride with the weight spread across a larger surface that has some flexability when using the cart. (just a suggestion)

Lol! The dastardly white stuff has rendered my PA useless other that to think of things to build for it. I have the foam pipe insulation that goes on the plug in cart but haven't put it on yet. The boat gets wet tomorrow snow or shine.
